Rumor: Motorola To Release A Camera-Less Droid Pro
Super high security companies typically prefer for their employees to sport phones without cameras because nothing could leak outside. Several phones such as BlackBerry and Windows Mobile have been known to be implemented in phones without cameras simply for the security reason — employers can have peace of mind knowing employees can’t snap images.
According to a source cited by Engadget, there is a 99% chance Motorola will create a Droid Pro without a camera for launch on Verizon. As you probably already know, the Droid Pro is touted as the Android phone for the business person as it comes with a portrait-style QWERTY keyboard, a form factor made popular by RIM. In addition, if you take a look at the image above — specifically the part circled in red — you’ll notice the mention of a Droid Pro without a camera.
Of course, we’ll know for sure whether this rumor turns out to be true in several weeks when the Droid Pro launches.
