Samsung Galaxy Prime Rumored To Launch On November 3rd

Four days ago, it was announced that the Samsung and Google joint CTIA event was cancelled, likely due to the recent passing of Steve Jobs’, but could be due to unforeseen bugs in Ice Cream Sandwich.  Whatever the true reasoning for the delay in the event may be, one thing is for certain: Verizon Wireless customers and Android enthusiasts alike are itching to see the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Nexus running the highly anticipated Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS.  The Galaxy Nexus (also rumored to be known as the Nexus Prime) is expected to be an exclusive handset on Verizon Wireless.

Since the postponement of the Android event, neither Samsung nor Google has come forth with information regarding the rescheduled date.  However, a reliable tipster informed Phandroid that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is going to launch on November 3rd, which seems to imply an event must be right around the corner.  At the moment, this is still an unconfirmed rumor, but makes sense as Google and Samsung want to get the device out of the gate prior to the Holiday season and in time so it can battle with the iPhone 4S.  I expect more information to be coming soon as we are nearing November.

About the Author

Currently, I live in the United States in the crowded, but enjoyable state of New Jersey. I first began blogging about technology in 2007, right on the precipice of the smartphone, netbook, and GPS boom. Not to mention Facebook and Twitter have started to become increasingly popular during this time period. In terms of Google Android, I have been privileged to test and review many different devices and among my favorites are the Samsung Epic 4G and the HTC Droid Incredible.
