Samsung Galaxy S Upgrade to Android 2.2 Begins in Korea
Android 2.2 on Samsung Galaxy S brings in new features, enhanced navigation applications and improved performance. Some of the most notable new features include:
- voice-controlled GPS through Google Maps with Navigation
- search in-browser
- Adobe Flash Player 10.1 support
- improved customization options
- home screen/menu preview
To update your Samsung Galaxy S, you would need to download Kies, Samsung’s unique in-house software upgrade program, from the samsungmobile.com site. But that is of course if you are in South Korea right now. If you’re not there, you have to wait for a couple of days more before you can update your Samsung Galaxy S as it will be available in the Nordic region, European markets, SouthEast Asia, the Middle Easy, North America and the rest of the world by mid-October.
