Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus – get ready for round 2
There were many unofficial reports about a possible successor to the famous and popular Galaxy S2. They started getting momentum back in August but took back seat to hotter speculations. Now we are again back in the game with rumors of Samsung preparing not one but two different models for the Galaxy S2 Plus. Conveniently termed GT-i9105 and GT-i9105P the smartphones will be seemingly unchanged.
There will be NFC included in the smartphones and apart from that there won’t be much that would have changed. The original S2 has unremarkable spec sheet in this day and age, but was even a bit outdated when it first launched. The Galaxy S2 Plus will have the same 4.3 inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. Powering the device will be a Dual core 1 GHz processor. 8MP camera will adorn the back of the smartphone; 8 GB internal storage with microSD expansion options will still be available. The whole thing will run on a 1,650 mAh battery, which is a little too small for our liking, maybe we are spoiled by the humongous battery of Galaxy Note 2.
It will be running Android version 4.1 and is probably slated to release in mid-January or February. For those who just can’t get enough of the device which made Samsung the top dog, this is the moment you have been waiting for. Of course we don’t have any confirmation even about the existence of the Galaxy S2 Plus but we are sure we will get something to grab on at CES 2013 or MWC earlier next year.
