Samsung Galaxy Tab Shown Running Android 2.2, Official Teaser Video Surfaces

As we approach IFA 2010 — where Samsung is rumored to introduce the Samsung Galaxy Tab — more and more images and leaks of the anticipated Android tablet are surfacing. Today, a Chinese blog — ifanr – is showing various images of the Samsung Galaxy Tab and including some specs.

If you take a look at the image above, you will clearly see the device is running Android 2.2, otherwise known as Froyo. In addition, the device features a 7 inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1024 x 600, PowerVR SGX 540 graphics processor, 3G, GPS, WiFi, 3.2MP rear facing camera, and a front facing camera. For some odd reason, it looks like the Galaxy Tab features a proprietary USB method of charging, a very Apple-esque move.

With all the recent leaks and rumors, hopefully we will hear official confirmation from Samsung shortly in order to put an end to all these rumored reports.

Also, it looks like Samsung has uploaded the official teaser video of the Samsung Galaxy Tab, which confirms Froyo, Swype, and the 7 inch touch screen. In addition, it’s confirmed that Samsung will announce the product at IFA 2010. Check out the video below after the picture.

About the Author

Currently, I live in the United States in the crowded, but enjoyable state of New Jersey. I first began blogging about technology in 2007, right on the precipice of the smartphone, netbook, and GPS boom. Not to mention Facebook and Twitter have started to become increasingly popular during this time period. In terms of Google Android, I have been privileged to test and review many different devices and among my favorites are the Samsung Epic 4G and the HTC Droid Incredible.
