Samsung Leaks its Own Gem, Mid-Range Android Smartphone
Usually, smartphone leaks come through sources affiliated with a certain company or carrier, but in the case of the upcoming Samsung Gem, the manufacturer itself leaked the device through its official website. The Samsung Gem is a mid-range device with a 3.2 inch touch screen and Android 2.1 expected to launch sometime soon.
Some reports indicate it might launch with Cellular South, but as of now, the Gem is not currently on sale. Other specs include a 800MHz processor, 3.2MP camera, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, microSD memory expansion, and apparently sports a “affordable price.” Given that the Samsung SCH-I100 is technically announced on Samsung’s website, it should only be a matter of days before we officially know which carrier will be selling it.
