Samsung Nexus Two Release Delayed, Still Expected To Launch

The Samsung Nexus Two is a device expected to launch with a clean version of Android 2.3 in conjunction with top-of-the-line hardware from Samsung. Naturally, the phone and Android 2.3 were supposed to launch simultaneously, but now it looks like Android 2.3 will launch before the Samsung Nexus Two because the latter recently faced a hardware issue in the late stages of testing.

Unfortunately, Michael Arrington, of TechCrunch, is not citing the sources he received the information from, but it must be credible enough for him to post about the Nexus Two delay. While Samsung is adamant that they are not producing any such phone, it does make sense for Google to partner with Samsung to create a high end device with a clean version of Gingerbread.

Samsung is holding an event on November 8 in which they will announce a new phone — probably the Samsung Continuum on Verizon Wireless. However, it will be interesting to see if they do shed any light on the Nexus Two they are reportedly manufacturing.

About the Author

Currently, I live in the United States in the crowded, but enjoyable state of New Jersey. I first began blogging about technology in 2007, right on the precipice of the smartphone, netbook, and GPS boom. Not to mention Facebook and Twitter have started to become increasingly popular during this time period. In terms of Google Android, I have been privileged to test and review many different devices and among my favorites are the Samsung Epic 4G and the HTC Droid Incredible.
