Despite Apple doing all it can to impede Samsung from selling its high end Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the Australian market, it looks like Samsung is going to sell it anyway in the near future. Apple is trying to block the Galaxy Tab through the Australian Federal Court on the basis on patent samsung-galaxy-tab-101-1infringement of the American Galaxy Tab. However, Samsung says it’s going to sell a Galaxy Tab 10.1 that differs from the American version, therefore, Apple should not have any technical patent complaints against it.
Samsung ended their public statement saying:
“Samsung will continue to actively defend and protect our intellectual property to ensure our continued innovation and growth in the mobile communication business.”
It will definitely be intersting to see just how much the Australian Galaxy Tab differs and whether Apple comes out with any further complaints.
Currently, I live in the United States in the crowded, but enjoyable state of New Jersey. I first began blogging about technology in 2007, right on the precipice of the smartphone, netbook, and GPS boom. Not to mention Facebook and Twitter have started to become increasingly popular during this time period.
In terms of Google Android, I have been privileged to test and review many different devices and among my favorites are the Samsung Epic 4G and the HTC Droid Incredible.
