Samsung Singapore Facebook Leaks Image of AT&T’s Galaxy S II Smartphone

Given the impressive amount of success the Galaxy S smartphone received in the United States, it is no surprise that Samsung is ready to launch the successor — the Galaxy S II — in the United States. The device headed to AT&T is expected to be called the Samsung Attain, and it looks like Samsung Singapore has leaked the new Attain smartphone on its Facebook account.

The Attain is shown off in a special cradle accessory that features HDMI out as well as 3.5mm inputs. The cradle isn’t nearly as important as the sleek looking smartphone inside of it. As you can see, the AT&T logo is etched onto the top of the device just below the external speaker. Hopefully we’ll find out more information such as pricing and availability regarding the Galaxy S II on AT&T in the coming weeks, as it should launch sometime this summer.

About the Author

Currently, I live in the United States in the crowded, but enjoyable state of New Jersey. I first began blogging about technology in 2007, right on the precipice of the smartphone, netbook, and GPS boom. Not to mention Facebook and Twitter have started to become increasingly popular during this time period. In terms of Google Android, I have been privileged to test and review many different devices and among my favorites are the Samsung Epic 4G and the HTC Droid Incredible.

There seems to be some debate on the accuracy of this. I don’t think thats the SGSII. I think it’s the Infuse 4G

I’m aware of the debate, and AndroidCentral (http://www.androidcentral.com/att-attain-aka-galaxy-s-ii-outed-samsung-facebook) claims it is not the Samsung Infuse 4G based on the difference in the power button.

Here is an excerpt from their post:

“Now before you start screaming that it’s just the Infuse 4G and everybody’s confused, note that the power button’s ever so slightly different than AT&T’s current 4.5-inch monster.”

Yeah, it’s weird. If you go through the pictures on the Facebook site that the picture comes from, there is a picture of a car dock that has a phone that looks just like the SGSII that is out overseas and it doesn’t have the AT&T logo on it, so I was wondering if they just used the Infuse for the photo.

Personally, I like the way the overseas phone looks better with just the track pad.
