Shazam Android App Gets Updated with New Widgets
We just got a note from Shazam informing us that both their free Shazam Android app and the premium version Shazam Encore have just been updated. If you update your Shazam Android apps you will now be able to place a Shazam widget on your Android phone’s home screen.
Adding the Shazam widget on your phone’s homescreen will allow you to immediately tag a song without needing to open the Shazam Android app. And when you tap on the “Tag Now” icon, the app with start listening and prepares to tag a song. The app will also immediately provide information about the artist and the track.
Another nice feature of the Shazam widget is that, you will be able to discover what tracks other Shazam users are tagging around the world via the Shazam Tag Stream. And if you find tagged songs that are interesting to you, you can add these songs to your own Shazam list.
The updated Shazam Android app is now available from the Android Market. If you are a new user, you can just search for the app. If you have an existing Shazam app on your phone, you can see Shazam from the apps the need to be updated on your phone.
