Source: HTC Droid Incredible To Receive OTA Software Update
With all the negative press the HTC Droid Incredible has been receiving as of late, mainly because of ridiculous shipping delays, it’s nice to finally report some good news about the flagship Android phone on Verizon (until the Droid X launches, anyway).
Hung Truong, a lucky HTC Droid Incredible user, happened to receive an interesting OTA update which enabled 3G Mobile Hotspot, HD video recording, and the red eye Droid startup animation. Much to his dismay, the OTA Software Update he received was not Android 2.2, but it still brought three interesting and definitely useful features to an already solid device. It makes you wonder why the Droid Incredible didn’t launch with these features initially, but hey, it’s better late than never. Hopefully Verizon and/or HTC will confirm the OTA update soon and begin to roll out the update on a mass scale because I’m sure Droid Incredible users would love these features. The video on YouTube shows the new startup animation with the iconic Droid red eye. The picture above shows the new 3G Mobile Hotspot app, and the the picture below shows the ability to record video in 720p.
