Sprint Drops Price of Samsung Galaxy Tab to $299 on contract, $499 without Contract

If you’ve been wanting to have the Samsung Galaxy Tab for quite some time now but was a bit hesitant to get it due to its high price, well Sprint is giving you the chance to finally take the plunge and get this Android tablet. That’s right, Sprint has reduced the price of its Samsung Galaxy Tab to $299 on contract, and $499 without contract.

Take note that if you decide to get the Samsung Galaxy Tab right now, you’d be getting it with Android 2.2 OS. Certainly not the best suited OS for such device. Well, at least before we’ve heard about Android Honeycomb which in case you’ve missed the announcement previoulsy – is a new Android flavor made specifically for tablets. Android 2.2 and below as you all know were meant for Android phones.

And besides, Samsung has announced several new versions of the Samsung Galaxy Tab worth waiting during CES 2011, right? If you’ve missed, well a new Samsung Galaxy Tab with Wi-Fi only as well as a 4G-capable versions are coming out probably soon. So, you might want to wait up for these new Samsung Galaxy Tabs instead.

But if you can’t wait that long anymore, then here’s the link to Sprint’s site where you can order the Samsung Galaxy Tab.
