Sprint Officially Announces The HTC EVO Shift 4G for $149 On Contract
Many recent leaks of the highly anticipated slider Android smartphone to launch on Sprint indicated an imminent announcement. Today, Sprint officially let the world know that the HTC EVO Shift 4G will be available January 9, for $149 on a two year agreement after a $100 MIR.
The HTC EVO Shift 4G features Android 2.2 with HTC Sense, 3.6 inch touch screen, 5MP camera, 720p recording, Sprint Mobile Hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi, and 4G connectivity. One notably missing feature of the EVO Shift is a front facing camera, but for the sake of a lower cost, HTC had to leave something out. Personally, I don’t mind the absent front facing camera, as a slider QWERTY keyboard and 4G connectivity more than make up for it.
If you are looking for a $100 cheaper alternative to the Epic 4G, without sacrificing speed and power, the HTC EVO Shift 4G is definitely a worthy smartphone to consider.
