Staples Begins Pre-Orders for the Coveted WiFi Only Xoom

Without any official announcement from Motorola, Staples has begun pre-orders for the highly anticipated Motorola Xoom for $599. Shipments are expected to take place as soon as March 25 and should arrive to your doorstep within a few days after shipping has processed. In addition to Staples, Costco and Amazon have also begun pre-orders for the Google Android 3.0 running tablet, with the former bundling a gel case at $589.

If if the more expensive 3G price for the Verizon Wireless branded Xoom isn’t your cup of tea, then you should definitely consider the 3G-less, WiFi only tablet at the competitive price of $599.
