T-Mobile: First HSPA+ Compatible Phone Is The G2
Looks like the wait to find out the latest smartphone that will run on T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network is over. A new teaser page created by T-Mobile has surfaced and indicates the new smartphone is the T-Mobile G2, the aptly named successor to the original G1. Since it is the successor of the first global Android device, the G2 will naturally run Android as well, but no word on whether it will be Android 2.2 or some other version.
HTC manufactured the G1, so it makes sense to assume HTC will also manufacture the G2 and the current rumors indicate the G2 is also known as the myTouch HD. T-Mobile says it will release more information in the coming weeks and it will offer “exclusive first access to current T-Mobile customers.”
