T-Mobile G-Slate and Sidekick 4G Officially Available for $529 and $99, Respectively

If you’re shopping around for a new smartphone and tablet, it would be wise to check out your local T-Mobile store (or visit their website) and take a look at the two new gadgets they are selling.

First, we have the long awaited T-Mobile G-Slate, manufactured by LG, which we first saw on display at CES 2011. The 8.9 inch tablet runs Android 3.0 and features a 4G radio for use on T-Mobile HSPA+ network. Initial reviews claim the G-Slate has great hardware and build, but the UI isn’t perfectly polished just yet. In any case, the G-Slate can be yours on a two year contract for $529.99. For $750, you can purchase the LG G-Slate off contract.

Next, we have the T-Mobile Sidekick 4G, manufactured by Samsung, and this should be a hit with former Sidekick owners as it bears a similar design, but runs the modern Android 2.2 OS. The Sidekick 4G features a 3.5 inch touch screen, slider QWERTY keyboard, 1GHz processor, 3MP camera, and a front facing camera. In addition, it costs only $99 after a $50 MIR on a two year agreement. Considering it has a 4G radio and 1GHz processor, $99 is a good price point for the redesigned Sidekick.

About the Author

Currently, I live in the United States in the crowded, but enjoyable state of New Jersey. I first began blogging about technology in 2007, right on the precipice of the smartphone, netbook, and GPS boom. Not to mention Facebook and Twitter have started to become increasingly popular during this time period. In terms of Google Android, I have been privileged to test and review many different devices and among my favorites are the Samsung Epic 4G and the HTC Droid Incredible.
