Toshiba Thrive Pre-Orders Set to Begin Today
Toshiba is set to join the Android tablet parade with the Toshiba Thrive. Toshiba Direct and Office Depot are two options for customers to place pre-orders, as they are both accepting orders beginning today. The Thrive comes with a 10.1 inch touch screen display, Dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, USB port, SD memory expansion, Android 3.1, 5MP rear facing camera, 2MP front facing camera, and an HDMI port. Additionally, it comes in three different models depending on your storage needs: an 8GB model, 16GB model, and a 32GB model. As of now, Office Depot is only advertising the 16GB and 32GB models, while Toshiba Direct has the 8GB model available for pre-order.
In terms of pricing, the 8GB model costs $429, the 16GB model costs $479, and the 32GB model costs $579. The Android powered Toshiba Thrive is set to begin shipping sometime in mid-July. Also, keep in mind these are the WiFi models only.
