TweetDeck 1.0 Android App Released to the Android Market

Finally, after several weeks of hardwork, testing bugs and implementing feedback from beta testers, the TweetDeck folks are now ready with the final release of their Android app. TweetDeck 1.0 is now available from the Android Marketplace.

It took them 11 releases before this final version was completed, so the results must be pretty good. And actually it is. We’ve downloaded the app and has been testing it for a couple of hours now and so far so good. All the features that we’ve enjoyed when it was still in beta are pretty much intact and performing pretty well.

In case you didn’t try TweetDeck when it was still in beta, let me just remind you that this Android app lets you view and post to Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare and Google Buzz. The four social networking/media tools that we are probably using right now.

To download TweetDeck 1.0 Android app on your Android phone, you can search for it from the Android Marketplace or simply scan the QR code below. If you have the beta version installed on your Android phone, make sure to uninstall it first before installing this final version.

Google has been advising web developers on how to prepare sites and apps for its TV platform, and Google TV’s universal search will present web search results right next to local and cable TV content. Google TV is based on Android, which also uses Webkit as its default browser.
