Verizon Wireless: Motorola Droid and HTC Droid Incredible Back In Stock
Right before the Motorola Droid 2 was officially made available, Verizon Wireless placed the original Motorola Droid as out of stock on its online store. Such a move gave credence to the notion that the Motorola Droid had reached the end of its life. However, today Verizon began shipping the original Droid again, which is good news for those looking to pick up the $150 device. Even though its hardware doesn’t compare as favorably with the top-of-the-line Android devices nowadays, it still holds its own at $150.
In addition, the HTC Droid Incredible is shipping tomorrow and isn’t backordered any more. For as long as I can remember, Verizon Wireless had tremendous difficult keeping the HTC device in stock as devices were always shipping weeks later. Unfortunately, the HTC Droid Incredible still sports a $199 price tag, but hopefully Verizon will lower that soon in order to make it more appealing to customers. With the Motorola Droid X not shipping until August 31, I would not be surprised if many Verizon customers opted for the Droid Incredible.
