Verizon Wireless Officially Announces the Samsung Fascinate, Loaded with Android 2.1
For those waiting for a Samsung Galaxy S phone to arrive on Verizon Wireless, your wait is finally coming to an end tomorrow. Verizon Wireless has officially announced that the Samsung Fascinate which is actually a variant of the Samsung Galaxy S Android phone series will be exclusively available for Verizon customers starting September 8. To be available for $199.99 after the usual $100 mail-in rebate, the Samsung Fascinate can be ordered online tomorrow while on the following day, Verizon Wireless Communication brick-and-mortar stores will start selling the said Android phone.
In case you’ve missed the news headlines lately, the Samsung Fascinate runs Android 2.1 and features a Super AMOLED screen, advanced touch screen capabilities, 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird Applicaiton Processor and virtual QWERTY keyboard with SWYPE technology thrown in. The Samsung Fascinate will also be pre-loaded with Amazon’s Kindle for Android app as well as some nice accessories such as – a car dock, charging cradle and back-up charging battery system.
