Verizon Wireless To Debut LTE Android Smartphones at CES 2011

Verizon Wireless is already well known for boasting a strong lineup of Android smartphones, such as the Motorola Droid X, Motorola Droid 2 Global, and the HTC Droid Incredible. We already know Verizon has begun its roll out of its 4G LTE network, but so far, Android devices compatible with LTE have only surfaced in rumors.

According to a definitive tweet from the official Verizon Wireless account, the giant American carrier will show off some new LTE Android devices. Unfortunately, the tweet does not reveal what types of phones will be announced, so it looks like we’ll have to wait until CES 2011 in early January for further confirmation. Below is the text of the tweet that can be seen in the picture above.

Should any other updates regarding possible Verizon Wireless LTE Android devices surface, we will keep you updated.

About the Author

Currently, I live in the United States in the crowded, but enjoyable state of New Jersey. I first began blogging about technology in 2007, right on the precipice of the smartphone, netbook, and GPS boom. Not to mention Facebook and Twitter have started to become increasingly popular during this time period. In terms of Google Android, I have been privileged to test and review many different devices and among my favorites are the Samsung Epic 4G and the HTC Droid Incredible.
