Yahoo Intros New Android Messaging App – Hub
Yahoo has just added a new messaging app to its mobile communication suite with the release of the Yahoo Hub app for Android devices. Geared for heavy texters, Hub Android app offers an easy and fast way of sending text messages and create group conversations – for free. The app lets you easily add participants to any conversation thread, hence making it easy to switch from private messaging to a group conversation.
Additionally, Hub Android app also allows you to send messages to anyone without incurring any text messaging fees. As such your messages are sent over Wi-Fi or through your phone’s data connection. What you’ll appreciate about this app is the fact that it allows you to communicate with anyone on any mobile device for as long as you have their mobile phone numbers. The app won’t even require your friends to install the Hub app on their devices to reply to your message. But then of course, it would be better if they will have the app installed on their devices.
Finally, the app also has notification features so you’ll always be informed when new text messages arrive.
The Hub Android app is available now as a free download from the Android Market. It it currently available only for Android phone users with US Sim card although users from other countries can still receive your messages if you’re sending it from the U.S.
