Gameloft releases The Oregon Trail: American Settler for Android

It’s been a truly awesome week of gaming if you like Android Games, and the week just got a little better thanks to Gameloft. They gaming giant struck again today as they went and put out a new Android Game called The Oregon Trail: American Settler. Gameloft’s new version of the old classic Oregon Trail is called “American Settler” for a good reason; the first game may have been about the journey, but this one’s about life after you arrive in town.

Smite the Wicked in Babel Rising from BulkyPix

God games have been around for awhile now, and you can find one for practically every major platform. There are a few good ones out there for Android, and the newly released Android game called Babel Rising is set to join those ranks. Bulkypix decided to try their hand in the god game genre, and they’ve used the age old story of the Tower of Babel as the backdrop for the game.

Fans of the Modern Combat series can finally rest easy as last night Gameloft finally dropped a little Android game called Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation. People have been waiting for this game for awhile so the expectations are pretty high for this action-packed FPS.

Frontline Commando – Android Game Review

Last week Glu Mobile released a new Android game called Cut the Cheese: Rise of the Fudge Dragon, and what do they choose for their follow-up? A great looking 3rd person shooter called Frontline Commando. This proves that you never know what Glu has up their sleeves, as they go from putting out a game with a farting theme one week just to come out with a 3D shooter the next.

Day 10 of Google’s 10 cent Android App Promotion

We’re back today with Day 10 of Google’s 10 billion downloads .10 cent app deal, and sadly it’s the last day. The Big G has given us some great apps over the last 10 days, and today they are giving users eight games and four apps. They’ve even included one of my personal favorites called Apparatus and another I’ve wanted to try for awhile called Star Chart.

Rockstar’s Classic Grand Theft Auto III is Unleashed into the Android Market

Oh Boy! That’s what I thought when I first woke up this morning, checked the market and saw that Rockstar has finally released Grand Theft Auto III for Android. This classic from 91’ holds a special place in my heart as well as the hearts of any gamer that owned a PS2 over the past decade. If you’ve never heard of the game and are thinking “What’s Grand Theft Auto?” you are probably too young to play it anyway so move along now youngster. If you gamed during the 90s there is no doubt you know exactly what GTA III is about, and how much fun you can have cruising around good ol’ Liberty City…

Popcap’s Plants vs. Zombies and Peggle now available in the Android Market

Seems like the week isn’t complete without some Zombie related Android news, and this week is no different as Popcap’s popular game Plants vs. Zombies is finally, officially available in the Android Market. Peggle, another of their popular games has also made the jump to the market, but we all know it’s all about those pesky Zombies. PvZ has been available on Android for awhile now, but only through Amazon’s App store which left some people out in the cold until today.

An Official Scrubs game is headed to Android

Fans of the hit ABC show Scrubs will have something to cheer about soon, as Herocraft is bringing an official Scrubs game to Android. I actually did a double take when I first got the news; while I’m a huge fan of JD and the gang myself, I never thought about a Scrubs game oddly enough.
