Mobage’s Tiny Tower out now for Android

Mobage’s Tiny Tower out now for Android

Way back in 1997 a little game called SimTower came out, and I lost weeks months of my free time trying to build up my tower. I always loved that game as I know a lot of other folks did, and now thanks to Mobage I’ve got a similar game to play for Android. Tiny Tower is a brand new Tower building game that lets you build and manage a tiny tower along with all the businesses and “bitizens” that inhabit it.

Keep an Eye on things with Baby Monitor & Alarm for Android

Keep an Eye on things with Baby Monitor & Alarm for Android

Babies… you’ve gotta love the little guys. They’re all cute and stuff, but they’re pretty much helpless. They need to be watched and baby monitors have always done the job if you have to leave the room for a few minutes. Well, the Baby Monitor & Alarm App from TappyTaps can certainly help you out in that area, and it’s got some pretty nifty features to boot.

Glu Mobile drops Gladiator Game Blood & Glory into the Android Market

Glu Mobile drops Gladiator Game Blood & Glory into the Android Market

As I was getting myself caffeinated and stumbling through the market this morning, I saw a new Android game called Blood & Glory. I instantly though Gladiators, and soon found out I was right as Glu Mobile has just put out a slick looking Gladiator game into the market. There have been a few other Gladiatorial games out there, but most were less than stellar to say the least. I can already tell you Blood & Glory looks awesome, but how does it play? Read on to find out…

Stay Safe with MyFlare for Android

Stay Safe with MyFlare for Android

MyFlare is a new personal emergency response app that can get you help when you need it the most. There have been some other personal safety apps in the market, and some of them are actually very solid. MyFlare has them all beat hands down as it can do the things those other apps do, and it can do them all at once. MyFlare is loaded with features and ways to keep you safe, but the coolest thing about the App is its ability to perform all of its safety functions at once with just a simple press of the button. Here’s a rundown of some of the key features in MyFlare…

English version of Kairosoft’s Astro Expedition coming soon

Yesterday we mentioned Kairosoft had dropped two games into the market with World Cruise Story and another game that hasn’t been translated yet. I knew it had a space theme, and after digging around a bit it seems as if the new game will be Astro Expedition! Kairosofts games have taken us to some unlikely places, and soon we’ll get to blast off into outer space with Astro Expedition.

Zombie Shooter Dead on Arrival arrives in the Android Market

An already awesome day for gamers just got a little better with the long awaited release of Dead on Arrival from N3V Games. Anytime a new Zombie game drops I have to check it out, so I was thrilled to see Dead on Arrival pop up in the market this afternoon. We had heard that Dead on Arrival was coming as an Xperia Play exclusive on Nov 17th, but it seems to have arrived a little bit early…

Kairosoft releases World Cruise Story into the Android market

Today is a great day for Android gamers as Kariosoft has released not one, but two new Android games into the market. Only one game is in English, but if things follow the usual course the Japanese game will be translated into English within a month. Either way, fans should prepare themselves to lose a lot of free time with World Cruise Story.

Toy Village – Android Game Review

Toy Village – Android Game Review

Not a week goes by that there’s not a new building game in the market, and last week brought a new one from Glue Mobile called Toy Village. Toy Village puts you in charge of rebuilding a tiny toy town after a destructive Tornado demolished it. You’ll have to rebuild things to get the toys back, and you’ll get plenty to work with. Graphically Toy Village looks great, but the issue with most building games is the wait time. Will Toy Village move along nicely or is it as slow as molasses? Read on to find out…

A Review of Island Fortress for Android

We all know that Pirates love treasure, and there are plenty of Pirate games in the Android market. Rejected Games have put a new twist on the Pirate game with Island Fortress where you won’t play a Pirate, but you’ll defend against them while protecting your treasure.

C64 Classic Giana Sisters out now for Android

C64 Classic Giana Sisters out now for Android

A lot of people have probably never heard of the Giana Sisters, and I was in that group myself until my memory was refreshed by the new game. The original Giana Sisters came out in 1987 on several of the older systems including the Commodore 64, and briefly reappeared in 2005 on mobiles. Well, the sisters are back again and this time it’s on the Android platform thanks to developers Kassa.

Princess Punt – Android Game Review

Princess Punt – Android Game Review

Princess Punt is a quirky little Android game from GungHo Games that involves punting Heroes and bombs at your enemies. It’s an odd premise to say the least, but one that works as it sucks you in with its gameplay & graphics. This is definitely one of those cases of “Don’t let the name fool ya” as a lot of people might see the words Princess Punt and skip the game. I almost did as I thought it was a football game for girls, but quickly found out just how wrong I was…

MovieCat – Android Game Review

MovieCat – Android Game Review

MovieCat is a quirky new Android trivia game that combines Movies with cats. Now I’ve never been a huge fan of cats (other than the lolcats) as they’re pretty sneaky, and I’ve just always been a dog guy. Trivia on the other hand, I’m pretty good so I was intrigued to see what Movie Cat was all about. What I found was a great little Trivia game that uses Cats in a very cool way. By the time I had finished a few rounds and got my first “Cat Scene” I was hooked.

Glu Mobile’s Toy Village out now for Android

Another week, another city building game, but this one involves Toys! Glu Mobile dropped a game called Toy Village into the market this morning, and by the name alone I knew I had to check it out. When I fired up the game what I found was a very polished, colorful game that looks like it came straight out of a Disney flick…

Occasionally, an Android app comes out that I take a personal interest in and that’s happened this week as Ancestry.com has finally released the first Beta version of their official app. Ancestry.com is the leading Genealogy site on the net, and they have a MASSIVE wealth of information available to help you trace you roots. I’ve been using Ancestry.com for years so I was thrilled to see they actually have an app now even if it’s just a Beta.
