UK based newspaper the Guardian has just released an update to their own Android app with the aim of making the application more user friendly for those users looking for the latest news and social media from within the app.

I live in the UK and have been gaming since I was about 5. Likewise I was always interested in gadgets from a young age. My gaming has evolved from the Sega Megadrive to the Xbox 360 and I enjoy mobile gaming on my Samsung Galaxy S3. I jumped to Android from the iPhone 3GS two years ago and haven't looked back.
For those unfamiliar with the Amazon Appstore, it can be used on Android devices as another way of downloading apps. Sometimes apps are released exclusively on the Amazon App store before arriving on the Google Play Store, Jetpack Joyride being one example of an Amazon Appstore exclusive.
Rockstar have announced that to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Grand Theft Auto Vice City, which was released on the PlayStation 2 ten years ago, they will be porting the popular and successful game on to the Android platform. The game however won’t be out until later in the year. To keep keen Grand Theft Auto fans occupied until then, Rockstar have dropped the price of Grand Theft Auto III 10 Year Anniversary.
It has been 10 years since hugely popular game developer Rockstar released their Vice City title in the Grand Theft Auto series of games. It was their sixth game in the GTA series and their second 3D game in the series. Originally released on October 29th 2002 for the Sony PlayStation 2,the game proved to be successful enough to be later ported to the Xbox console and now RockStar Games have excitedly announced that they will be making this classic open world game available on the Android mobile platform.
Sega recently announced a new Sonic game for mobile devices. The game, Sonic Jump has already been released for iOS devices last week with no word on an Android release. Sega have now however confirmed that their latest mobile Sonic game will be available on Android in November.
While there may already be numerous ebook reader Android applications available on the Google Play Store, a new one has been released and according to the creator of the app – XDA Developer member eirikrwu – he created the app because of all the other ebook reader apps already available, none suited him. I can relate as I have several different ebook readers on my phone and can never decide which one I want to use.
Sega have announced that they will be releasing their classic Crazy Taxi game on to the Android platform soon. The game will be a port of the popular Dreamcast version from Sega and has already landed on iOS devices but, unfortunately Android users have a slight wait until we can get our hands on the game.
Following on from their update to the mobile version of their website, well known and much used cloud based storage company Dropbox have also moved to bring Android device users an update to their version of the Dropbox Android app too.
As a huge fan of the entire Need for Speed franchise, the news that gaming giants Electronic Arts (EA) are bringing a version of Need for Speed Most Wanted to Android makes me go all warm inside. The Need for Speed gaming series has been one of the most successful franchises in gaming history and certainly one of the must have racing games on several formats and now EA have announced that Need for Speed Most Wanted will speed on to the Android market place later this month.
There are a plethora of office applications available for use on Android devices, some are good and some are entirely avoidable. The availability of such Android apps makes working ‘on the go’ a possibility and in some cases a pleasurable experience for many users.
Back in September, Gameloft released their all new Unreal technology powered ‘hack and slash’ mobile game – Wild Blood onto iOS devices. The developer has now also just made the game available to Android devices and the Android app is now available to download via Google Play.
