RPS Academy: Rock, Paper, Scissors – Android Game Review

RPS Academy: Rock, Paper, Scissors – Android Game Review

RPS Academy is not your typical Android game. It’s fun and it’s also very, very frustrating. It’s also the first Android game I’ve played where I actually bought more “tokens” to use when mine ran out. In case you haven’t figured it out, the RPS stand for Rock, Paper, Scissors. In real life, I’m a master of Roshambo and against the computer I was good, but against real opponents online… not so much. Read on to find out more about RPS Academy.

Roboto for Android – The Review

Roboto for Android – The Review

Some games look great, while others just have great gameplay… luckily for us, Roboto from Fenix Fire Entertainment has both. Roboto is a new action-adventure game that will make you wonder why we don’t have more Android games that look that slick. It’s got a great soundtrack, lots of levels, boss battles, and jaw-dropping graphics. I’m not exaggerating either folks, it really looks that good. Read on to find out more about this great new game…

Redneck Jellyfish – Android Game Review

Redneck Jellyfish – Android Game Review

Redneck Jellyfish is a cool new game from MudStuffing Industries where you’ll play a Jellyfish named Gus who’s trying to build some coral reefs. Building the coral reefs won’t be easy though, as Gus will have to contend with zombie crabs, barnacles, sea urchins and other evil ocean dwellers. It’s a fun little game, and there’s nothing out there like it in the market. Is it as awesome as it seems? Read on to find out…

Captain America Sentinel of Liberty – Android Game Review

Captain America Sentinel of Liberty – Android Game Review

Captain America may not be as cool as Wolverine to some folks, but he’s always been a favorite of mine. Marvel put out a Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty over the weekend to promote the new Captain America movie that dropped on Friday. The movie was awesome (Kudos to Chris Evans), and the game is pretty damn fun as well. While the gameplay wasn’t quite what I expected; Captain America Sentinel of Liberty was tons of fun nonetheless.

Get your Plank on with Plank’d for Android – The Review

Get your Plank on with Plank’d for Android – The Review

As strange as “Planking” seems, it’s become pretty popular as of late, and now there’s an Android app for it. PLANK’D is a planking game from N3V Games that lets you plank all over the place. If you don’t know what planking is, it’s where a person lays horizontally across anything with their arms’ by their sides… just like a plank of wood. It’s one of those things I never even actually thought about being made into a game, but I’m glad they did as it’s a lot of fun.

Bouncy Mouse – Android Game Review

Bouncy Mouse – Android Game Review

While trolling through the Android app market this weekend I came across an addictive little game called Bouncy Mouse. Bouncy Mouse is a great new game where you play an elastic tailed mouse who’s out to defeat Captain Cat and get back his cheese. It’s similar to Angry Birds as you’ll be “flinging” the mouse around, but that’s honestly where the comparisons end. Bouncy Mouse has a lot of things that make it unique, and developers Munkadoo Games look to have a big hit on their hands.

Psychoban – Android Game Review

Psychoban – Android Game Review

Like Sokoban games? Well, if you do there’s a new Sokoban game out from Dedalord called Psychoban that’s crazy fun. I mean that literally, as you’ll be moving around boxes in Insane asylums. It’s definitely a new take on Sokoban games, and the graphics are excellent. It also has a storyline that’s pretty funny, and adds another layer of depth to a great looking game. It’s a nice addition to the Android app market, and the best Sokoban game I’ve played so far.

Biofrenzy: Frag the Zombie – Android Game Review

Biofrenzy: Frag the Zombie – Android Game Review

Here at Android Apps, we love Zombie games and new one has just arrived in the market called Biofrenzy: Frag the Zombies. Biofrenzy is similar to Zombieville in the gameplay & style department, but that’s where the comparisons end. After taking out Zombies for a couple of hours, here are my thoughts about BioFrenzy: Frag the Zombie…

Zombieville USA – Android Game Review

Zombieville USA – Android Game Review

Zombieville USA is a new side scrolling shooter from Mika Mobile, makers of the popular Android game Battleheart. In Zombieville your job is to kill every zombie you set eyes on as you travel from door to door looking for supplies. There are several different weapons to use, and tons of zombies to use them on. If you enjoy taking out countless hordes of Zombies, you’re going to be thrilled with Zombieville USA.

Mooniacs – Android Game Review

Mooniacs – Android Game Review

Mooniacs is a fun little game from Namco-Bandai where you’ll get to “fling” characters around in order to collect Jujubees. You’ll exchange these Jujubees for parts to fix your ship so you can get back home. It’s similar to Angry Birds as you’ll be flinging your characters around the screen, but it really has a style all its own. It’s fun to play, and it’s a game kids & adults can both enjoy.

Static Motion – Android Game Review

Static Motion – Android Game Review

Static Motion is a new “Tap & Destroy” game from Founder’s Hill Entertainment. I noticed it when it came out yesterday morning, and have been playing around with it since. It’s one of those games that’s frustratingly fun, and you just can’t seem to put it down. It’s a blast to play even though it drove me a little nutty (in a good way) on the higher difficulty levels.
It’s a game that definitely deserves a look, and it’s one of those games that had me a bit scared putting my finger through the screen from tapping so much. Read on to find out what I thought about Static Motion…

Spirit HD for Android – The Review

Spirit HD for Android – The Review

I’m always on the prowl for unique Android games, and Spirit HD from Jakyl is about as unique as you can get. It was a hit when it came out on the iPhone & iPad last year, and I’m betting it’s going to do just as well for Android. It has some very slick Retro graphics, and a great soundtrack to boot. After spending some time with the game, here’s what I thought about Spirit…

Prepare to be Puzzled with Joining Hands for Android

Prepare to be Puzzled with Joining Hands for Android

In my never ending quest to track down unique Android apps, I stumbled across a quirky, new puzzle game from developer 10tons called Joining Hands. Just as the title implies it’s all about holding hands, but it’s also much more than that. You’ll be helping a little race of creatures called the Peablins who need to hold hands to keep the awful Bogeyman at bay. This is one of those games you might be tempted to skip after just hearing it’s name, but don’t be fooled as Joining Hands is a very polished game and a lot of fun as well.

A Review of BackStab HD for Android

A Review of BackStab HD for Android

BackStab HD is a swashbuckling adventure game that puts you in the role of Henry Blake who’s set out for Revenge after being imprisoned, and betrayed. You’ll have to sneak, climb, and fight your way through 4 lush cities while exacting your revenge on those who’ve wronged you. This was one of those Android apps that was exclusive to the Xperia Play, but now that the period of exclusivity is over we can all play the game. Personally, I’ve been waiting on this game for a while now, and was excited to see what all the fuss was about.
