StarFront: Collision for Android – The Review

StarFront: Collision for Android – The Review

StarFront: Collision is a killer new RTS game from Gameloft. If you’re a fan of the old game Starcraft, you are going to REALLY love this game. You play a group named “The Consortium” whose job is to mine a rare mineral from a planet called Sinistral. The problem is this planet is also inhabited by an alien species called The Myriad, who want to stop you from getting the Xenodium minerals. You’ll also have to deal with a pretty cool looking race of robots known as The Wardens. Now that you know what’s going on with the storyline, lets get to the good stuff…

It was a big hit on the Iphone, and now those of us with Android can enjoy the game.

Melancholy Fun with Colour My Heart for Android

Melancholy Fun with Colour My Heart for Android

I stumbled across a series of interesting games in the Android market a few weeks ago, the first of which is Colour My Heart. The games were designed by Silver Stitch, with music by Coin. They were originally available on the web through sites like Newsgrounds, but have been ported over to Android by developer Anderdroid Apps. There games are more “artistic” in nature than anything else I have ever played. They look simple, but don’t be fooled there is quite a bit you can do as you travel through the dreary Black & White worlds. Silver Stitch has done 4 games in the series, and Anderdroid Apps has ported over 3 so far. Here is a brief rundown of these unique dystopian games…

There’s a great new File Manager in the Market called File Expert from Geek Software Technology. This handy app does a lot of cool things and has some great features. It’s similar to a few of the other File Managers, but still manages to stand out with a few different features.

They Need To Be Fed – Android Game Review

They Need To Be Fed – Android Game Review

I’ve always enjoyed finding games in the Market that are a little different. YoYo Games and Jesse Venbrux have done that with a new Android game called “They Need to be fed.” In this funky little game; you’ll take guide your character through the levels, and feed yourself to a monster at the end. It’s harder than it sounds as the whole game is set in zero-gravity, and you’ll have to avoid many deadly obstacles along the way.

Dog Pile Android Game Review

Dog Pile Android Game Review

Dog Pile is a fun new Android game by JoshOCLock and ArtWitz Design. It’s really hard to put this game into one category. It’s kind of like they combined pachinko with a match game, and threw in some pinball in for good measure. I really wasn’t sure what to think at first. After a few minutes of listening to the quirky soundtrack, and watching the little pooches fly around the board, I was hooked. I finally finished all the levels, and here’s what I thought about this fun little game…

DJ Rivals is a fun new game from developers Booyah, Inc. This little gem almost slipped under my radar this week, but I’m glad I noticed it. This Android game lets you take on the role of a DJ, and you have to battle the evil Bland Corp. It’s got elements of the popular game Rock Band, as you have to tap the notes out during your DJ battles, with a little scratching thrown in for good measure. What else does it have? It’s got some really great graphics, plenty of upgrades, and a whole lot of potential.
