This brings back excellent memories. Ignore the one star reviews. This is due to the technical download issue which to be fair is a pain. I'm so glad they decided to do the most obscure one out of the Sonic series and not just slap Sonic 1 on the market. They dug up some treasures in terms of artwork and the music choice between JP / US is a real winner. Controls are rock solid considering it's a touch pad and using the back button as jump is excellent as you can see more of the screen. Way to go SEGA.

Don't 1-star because you're an impatient idiot. This is quite literally one of the best games on the market to date, and easily the best platformer. Such care went into this conversion, with true widescreen support, new menus and choice of soundtrack. If you have slowdown when playing for the first time on Galaxy Nexus, simply exit and reopen the game - it will run at full speed. The only negative is the time to download, but that's completely forgivable when you see how truly epic this game is. A+

Finally downloaded so I'm rating the game. Amazing port, runs great on my Bionic. To those having trouble downloading, stick with it!

The download time was pretty harsh. About 20 minutes. The game runs smoothly and loads pretty fast unfortunately there is no sound. HTC Inspire

Installed this on my LG Optimus V (Virgin Mobile) -- runs beautifully, no problems, sound works just fine. The game downloaded on my first try as of 7:00 a.m. on 12/17/11, so I believe that Sega's data problems are now behind them. Don't be scared off by all the one-star reviews -- 90%+ are complaints about a problem that has since been rectified.

Make sure your screen timeout is set to never, and plug in AC power for the download. Also the developer has come back within hours of release and increased the bandwidth of the download to counter the high demand. Actual Review: This is truly the first time I have played a port of a game, and the port is better than the original. Sonic CD is already the best sonic game, and now everyone can play it as I feel it was intended. - both sound tracks are present - all the music loop properly (using previously unused "segue" loops) - widescreen - The Anime cut-scenes have been remastered from the sources - Tails This port is so good, that I would actually never bother with the original hardware to play this again. Well done

Installed and downloaded all the files four times over the last three days and it still won't run!!! (Edited 19/12/11) - Yes I admit it I was an impatient idiot and one starred this initially, but I have finally been able to save the files to my PC and transferred them to my phone, and have updated my rating. This game is simpy brilliant!!!!

Great! Works if you download through Wi-Fi... at least it did for me. Awesome port lots of fun to be had. EDIT: FOR THOSE HAVING ISSUES WITH SOUND, MAKE SURE YOUR PHONE IS NOT SET TO SILENT MODE EVEN THOUGH YOUR MEDIA VOLUME IS UP THE MUSIC WILL NOT PLAY.

I had never played Sonic CD before so I was really looking forward to some old school Sonic. However, I have to give this only 3 stars. - 1The download portion of this app is unacceptable. Yes, you do deserve to be down rated for that. Service is a part of your game when you choose to circumvent the Android Market. -1 The game feels unnaturally slow for a Sonic game on my Galaxy Nexus. +1 Choice of JP or US music is a nice bonus. +1 Despite slow issue, controls are rock solid.
