Just a few years after its release, Carcassonne became a modern classic and a must-play.
Turn by turn, the players create a landscape by placing tiles with roads, cities, fields, and cloisters. The players deploy their followers - knights, monks, thieves, or farmers - to earn points. The player with the most points after the final scoring wins the game. The ever-changing landscape makes each game a new experience. With the official expansion "The River II" and 12 challenges, it never gets old. You can play against clever AI opponents or with up to 4 other players in a local multiplayer match.

First the game looks good and plays well, although undermined somewhat by a poor AI. The deal breaker for me is that it drains my battery incredibly quickly and it feels like the phone is trying to melt through my hand whilst playing it. Overall a good game but would not recommend for anyone with a Galaxy S2 to buy this.

The game is really great on my Android Tablet (ASUS Eee Pad Transformer). It looks exactly like the board game (which is why I don't understand people complaining about the graphics) and in my opinion is even superior to it due to several enhancement not possible in real life (e.g. it shows possible tile placements, the tiles don't shift out of place, ...) . The only downside to a otherwise awesome game is the fact that there is only one expansion!

Good interface. Multiplayer and harder AI would be good to see in the future but I can't complain. Spent lots of time with this already. :)

You could play over the network with friends. What's the point of pass and play when you could just get out the board game itself?

If this was a free app I would be very satisfied, but it is definitely not worth the money. AI players are dumb, no internet support, no expansions...

Network playing would be great. Plus more of the expansion pack options. But great for basic game.

Pretty good But... It drains the battery something rotten! SGS2 - that needs to be addressed pronto. Multiplayer over wifi would be ace too.
