True to the original game, you can compete with up to four players for the most settlements, the longest roads and the largest army. You can trade with each other and claim the precious land with all its resources.
If there are no other players available, various Catanians, each with their own individual characteristics, will prove themselves worthy competitors: the pirate Jean, who knows no compromise, Vincent the merchant, who never allows himself to be cheated, Sean the knight, who takes what is rightfully his...

Catan FAQ:
Question: Why do I have to download additional files after purchasing?
Answer: The download from Google play includes the basic game data and a tool that will determine your device’s display resolution and then download the optimal graphics data for your device.
Question: which Android security permissions does Catan need and why?
Answer: “Storage” to write data to the SD or move the game data, “Network communication” to download game data and access the In App Store and “system tools” to check if Catan is already running to resume a game.
Question: I bought one of the expansions but after an update, reinstallation of Catan or after restoring my phone the expansion seems gone?
Answer: Don’t worry; your initial purchase is already saved in your Google account. However for technical reasons you have to select “Buy” again. Confirm and a message will tell you that you’ve already purchased it. You will NOT be billed twice!
Question: I lost my campaign progress after reinstalling, updating from or when restoring my phone. Is there any way to restore it?
Answer: Savegames from old versions can usually be restored automatically. For all other cases we’ve integrated a cheat code: Enter campaign mode and go to select player. Enter „CatanWarp*“ (* = 1–15, e.g "CatanWarp5") as your player name and confirm. Exit the game via the home button. Enter your phone’s settings menu. Select applications/manage applications/Catan/ and then “Force Stop”. Restart Catan. The campaign can now be continued from the specified level number by selecting “New scenario *”.

Evo3D here. Having played the ios version a lot on an ipod touch, which is fantastic, I was a bit hesitant from the mixed reviews here. The android version is even better. In particular, the graphics are refreshed and take better advantage of the large screensize for less scrolling in several menus that you use over and over. It plays just as quick with animations on turbo. The Evo3D is a little more widescreen than most devices, but the game handles it well with no borders or stretched graphics. Thumbs up!

I'm quite impressed with this app. Apart from a slightly confusing UI in some places, I have no complaints - it's worked just fine on my ASUS Transformer, and is generally a nice implementation of a good board game.

This game is a bit expensive for an Android title. I guess this is due to the popularity of the physical board game. Having the seafarers expansion teased & costing AS MUCH as the game though is a slap in the face. One thing about this game (not good/bad) is that it's got story elements, characters and music integrated. It sets you into Catan, but prevents quick play. Unlike the clone that got removed from the market, Island Settlers, this game takes much longer to play & is not intuitive.

This game is amazingly fun and addictive! However, I noticed once the gameplay slows down and the music stops there is not much time before the game freezes and resets my DROIDX. A fix for this would be nice, however the game is still great and it does not freeze all the time.

Great to have Catan in pocket, nice fun for killing time in train. However UI is too small for higher resolution phone (960x640,3.5in) - buttons and text are way too small. It should've had double size UI or something, for easy fix. Frequently used commands (build/buy card, trade, end turn) should've had shortcut buttons. Also it would be nice if it can connect to Catan Online World - even only for basic game. Runs OK with my Sharp IS03, OS 2.2.

I love this game. It has locked up my Bionic a few times though. On my tablet the screen alignment is off. Extra cost for campaign mode is lame.

It's a great game. It routinely force closes, but it does save the game and you'll return to that exact point in time when you reboot the game. It wouldn't install for me, but I just kept trying over the course of 2 days, and it finally installed. Actually, it installed when I went to the market website on a computer, and initiated the install that way.

Works well on my epic 4g, exception for couple of black screens. No pushing button or typing in name problems, nor any lagging. I'm glad i got it

Love game. Found reboots a little annoying. Once I muted all sound it quite rebooting on me. Hope they come out with the other expansion.

The app won't download to a Galaxy S Vibrant on 3G, or a Galaxy Tab on wifi. It says "Starting download", then immediately exits. I've tried from the Market app and from the Android Market website. The vendor suggests the problem is my phone, but other apps have since installed with no problems.
