About the game :
This is a 2 player version of Sheepshead.
Sheepshead is a trick-taking card game related to the Skat family of games. It is the Americanized version of a card game which originated in Central Europe in the late 1700s under the German name Schafkopf.
In the past you could only play sheepshead when you had a group of people wanting to play, but with the advent of the internet you can play a wide range of games online like: internet blackjack, Skat and now Sheepshead can also be played online.
Although Schafkopf literally means "sheepshead", the term may have been derived from Middle High German and referred to playing cards on an overturned barrel (from kopfen, meaning playing cards, and Schaff, meaning a barrel).
The two player version :
The two player version comes as a cool variation of the popular Sheepshead game. While not all the time one fan of the game can accumulate as many as 5 players to play the regular version, the 2 player version is playable without much of a fuss and needs only one more player to be arranged than you !
The Android based 2 player variation :
The Android application is such a variation of the 2 player game where you get to play against the computer. The computer player has three levels of difficulty levels to choose from. Every match you play is recorded for scoring which you can see in “Hall of Fame” tab.
Each round consists of 3 matches. At the end of 3 matches, the final winner is decided.
The game allows you to choose your own profile and set your own avatars. The game has three set of themes to choose from – so go ahead and personalize your game with your own color scheme.
You can choose to turn the sound on or off at the main menu or even during the game play there is a mute button which can be finger touched to mute or unmute the application sounds.
In case you have an urgent phone call to make or to receive an incoming phone call, you can choose to come to main home screen and do your things. The game just gets paused and is resumed from where you left it.
NOTE: When the multiplayer version is released, it will be available free of charge to those who purchase this initial version.
