"Forget Foursquare and Google Places, this is the check-in app for Android that you should all get if you live in a city."
Outbreak! is a multiplayer online location based game. In order to play the game you must use your actual physical location.
You interact with the game using a map view, where you will see Survivors, Zombies and real world buildings and landmarks.
When you start the game you supply a user name and email address (don't worry, you won't get any emails, it's just for authentication). Once your account has been created you will be able to play the game. You will either be a Zombie or a Survivor, and this is decided based on your surroundings. Click 'Join the war' to view the map. This is where the game is played.
If you are a survivor to must attack zombies, by getting within range.
Zombies must attack survivors, by getting within range. Once a survivors health reaches zero, they will become a Zombie. When a Zombie is killed by a survivor they will have the option to re-spawn as a Survivor.
Attack others to gain experience, and earn achievements. You will also level up as you gain experience, increasing your attack range.
Nearby locations are visible on your map as a stronghold. Check-in to strongholds to take them over, and earn inventory items for replenishing health.
Email email@example.com to request NPCs, as this is a beta feature. NPCs are dummy players, allowing people in remote areas to play the game.

Great idea! But I live & work beside freeway, no way 2 protect myself. No real incentive for being a zombie. Needs balance & quests, achievments.

I am totally loving this game. I have not had any issues on my Casio Commando. I would like to see a little more interaction of any sort. And, this game is as bad as texting when your driving.

Sadly no players in my area, need to invite people in game, although support team, namely kevin, is very helpful and prompt in answering emails. He listens to professional comments and help requests. If you Need help our have comments just email them and it will be heard.
I like to pretend that this is a live game about bugchasers and giftgivers with the occasional bug party thrown in for more fun. There should be a way to communicate with others in order to work together. I would also like to know more about the achievements that one can earn. The official website needs more details.

I like it. Great idea only problem is it could do with a tutorial or something to let people know how to get fighting the infection that's taking over

Works great on dx. Level 9 survivor before being infected. Now its just as fun as a zombie. Fortifications are fun to take out with a couple friends.

Map is glitchy. Would be cool if you could choose a side right off. Needs more options badly. Really awsome concept, plz keep moving forward on it!

Great game concept. Needs the ability to leave messages with other players. AI would be nice initially until more people are playing. 4 stars atm. :)

Basics: Survivors hunt zombies (not wait at home fortified).Zombies hunt survivors. The more people you kill/infect the more range you have. Addictive.

Add weapons. Have range be determined by weapons. Zombies could have "weapons" too. Like spitting attacks. Or throwing nasty pus bombs. And add class.
