3 Great Twitter Apps for Android

by On August 14, 2012

Twitter and Facebook… you can’t really go anywhere these days without one or the other popping up in some way, shape or form. There are dozens of Twitter related Android Apps out there, and with that in mind we decided to take a look at a few of our favorites. There are some apps can handle all your social media needs, but today we’re just focusing on Twitter apps and while we could have made this a large list we decided to just go with 3 of the best.

UberSocial for Twitter

UberSocial is my personal favorite of the bunch, and it’s got some great features any twitterholic will enjoy. You’ve got the Inner Circle feature which lets you keep up to date with your BFF’s, and cross-posting between Twitter, Facebook, and Gchat. The app also lets you manage multiple accounts, and you can mute a topic if you’ve heard enough of a certain thing. Ubersocial is an easy to use app, and it’s free to download on Google Play.

Slices for Twitter

Slices is a cool new Twitter app that lets you “slice” your timelines into manageable streams and browse Twitter through a directory using categories. Slices lets you follow Live Event Streams, use bookmarks to make things simple, and it lets you use an unlimited number of Twitter accounts which is great if you’re a hardcore tweeter with multiple accounts. It hasn’t been out long, but it’s already become quite popular and with good reason. You can check out Slices for Twitter for free.

Twitter

What’s a Twitter list without the official app from Twitter. The Twitter App lets you browse interests, find & follow friends, send Dm’s, share photos and more. They’ve got real-time searches that can show you what’s trending and what’s happening around the world as well. Other apps give you cooler features, but the official Twitter App gives you what you need and it works very well. You can pick up the Official Twitter app for free on Google Play.
