For Acer it’s not too late the Android party as they finally make their Android 2.2-powered smartphone, beTouch E140 official. The Acer beTouch E140 is probably everything that the usual urban warrior would want for a full-capable smartphone – small form factor, sleek design, and your usual, standard Android 2.2 device. In general, the Acer beTouch E140 promises to perfom well, load web pages quickly, updates apps automatically and saves on the SD card, and of course immediate access to thousands of Android apps available from the Android Market. Design-wise, the beTouch E140 sports a chrome trimmings with rounded lines. It has a 2.8-inch boarderless touchscreen display which you can personalize with widgets. Just below the screen display are 3 hard keys which are more than useful as the touch-controlled menus and apps of the phone. Sounds like some pretty good features, right? Well actually most of them are pretty standard for Android 2.2 phones. So, what separates the Acer beTouch from the rest of the crowd are perhaps the pre-installed apps such as Acer Spinlets streaming service, nemoPlayer for managing your multimedia content and Acer UrFooz that lets you create virtual profile to represent you in the social networking world. Completing the specs and features of the Acer beTouch E140 are a 3.2MP camera, FM radio with RDS, 1300 mAh battery, 3G+, HSDPA, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. It seems that the Acer beTouch E140 is ready to tackle on the real world’s challenges and adversaries, right? Unfortunately, Acer forgot to include one important detail when they announced the E140 – release date. So, we may have to guess it for now.
