Android 4.0 Rolling Out To Samsung Nexus S GMS/UMTS Models

Now that the first Android Ice Cream Sandwich device has launched in the United States — the Samsung Galaxy Nexus — it’s time to focus our attention on which smartphones will be lucky enough to receive the coveted update to Android 4.0. According to a Google+ post on the official Android account, the Samsung Nexus S is scheduled to receive the update to Android 4.0 starting today and will continue to roll out for the remainder of the month. ¬†Only the GMS/UMTS models of the Nexus S will receive the update at this time; Google has not yet announced when the Sprint branded Nexus S 4G is going to receive the update.
