Asphalt 9 Legends For Android is Here (VIDEO)

Asphalt 9 Legends For Android is finally here. If you’re a hard core mobile-gamer (provided there is such a creature), you probably know that the original Asphalt debuted 14 years ago, and it was launched on Nokia N-Gage platform. Back in the day, Nokia was king. Those were the days…and people tend to forget the golden age when talking about gaming smartphones. Needless to say, the original Asphalt was a huge success, boasting stunning 3D visuals (ok, stunning for 2004), a very cool collection of licensed tracks and it was pretty much fun in terms of game-play, at least on N-Gage QD gear.

Moving back to the current year, Asphalt 9 Legends For Android takes a step further with regard to visual quality and comes with even more cars/tracks to play compared to Asphalt 8. Check this out:

Yes indeed, Asphalt 9 Legends For Android redefines mobile racing. Compared to the previous version, this new one boasts new controls, better graphics (technology is awesome), and a new roster of tracks and cars. However, that’s hardly a surprise, and no, I am not bitching. Excellent graphics were always one of Asphalt’s main selling points, and the Asphalt 9 Legends For Android doesn’t make an exception. The visual experience is stunning, and  makes for arguably the best looking mobile-game as per today’s standards.

Motion blur creates an awesome sense of speed, and hitting the nitro button makes this effect even more wonderful. The illusion of speed is also great in this arcade game, and the new video-engine boasts excellent lighting. Both the cars and the environment look very realistic, while the HDR lighting effect makes for sharp contrast, even in darker areas.

Cars are also beautifully drawn and look hyper realistic, and there’s great attention to detail basically everywhere. The only drawback is that the game is locked at 30 frames per second, for power consumption maybe, or who knows, maybe it cannot hit a constant 60 frame rate on current hardware. And no, there’s no unlock option.
