We’ve got a new Superman game coming soon, but if you’re looking to have some heroic fun in the meantime there’s a new Android game you may want to check out. Batman Arkham City Lockdown was recently released on Google Play after spending some time over on the Amazon App Store, and it looks to be a slick little game if you dig the Dark Knight. Batman Arkham City Lockdown takes place before the events of Batman: Arkham City. You’ll take control of the caped crusader as you try to take down the likes of Solomon Grundy, Deathstroke, and the Joker. The combat is touch-based and easy to get a handle on whether you’re new to the system or a seasoned pro. There’s not a lot of depth in the fighting department, but Batman Arkham City Lockdown makes up for that with all the cool content and characters. There’s quite a bit of content in Batman Arkham City Lockdown with character bios, costumes, upgrades, skills, and gadgets. There are even a few wallpapers, but the costumes are the coolest addition to the game from what I’ve seen so far. There are several different suits to choose from, but if the Android version is like the iOS game you’ll have to buy them outright and can’t unlock them through playing. There were a lot of awesome games released last night, so I haven’t had too much time to spend with Bats yet, but so far I like what I see. At the moment, Batman Arkham City Lockdown seems only be available for tablets, but we’ll let you know if support for phones becomes available. If you want to give it a go, you can pick up Batman Arkham City Lockdown for $5.99 on Google Play.
