Another week goes by, and more layers are peeled away from the mysterious cube known as 22cans Curiosity. As promised we’re back with another update on the Cube and even though it’s only been a week days since our last update quite a bit has changed in the strange little game called Curiosity. Last week we were at 13 layers removed and now we’re at 30 which means things are picking up on the cube as the servers have become stable and more people are getting curious. I’ve not noticed any cryptic messages like I did the first week, but the layers are starting to get more interesting as you can see from the screenshots I’ve taken. Some of the more interesting things I’ve seen that aren’t in the screens are messages of love, smiley faces, a middle finger, and the occasional obscene body part which we knew was going to happen. As for the server issues that have plagued the game since it’s release, I’m happy to say I’ve had absolutely no issues on my Galaxy s3 over the past week and it looks like they’ve gotten things cleared up. The team at 22cans actually posted an update on their site saying the server count has increased 14 times to fix the connectivity issue, but in order to do that something had to be disabled. Apparently they had to cut out the system that prevented coin stores to be reset when you play on multiple devices. According to the developer’s website, the server issues are fixed but if you log into Facebook, update the game you can lose your coins. They have a fix for that issue in the pipeline and we should see it on Android in the next few days. It’s pretty safe to say Curiosity has gotten it hooks into me, and I’ve gone from checking the game a few times a week to a several times a day. The cube is definitely getting cleared quicker as well; last night when I was drafting this article there were only 27 layers gone and this morning we’re at 30. I did manage to get a few hefty “cube clear” bonuses from when I was online tapping when a layer was cleared. Those are definitely nice, but I’m still a miles away from the illustrious Diamond Chisel and am itching to see what that bad boy will do. Check back with us next week for another update, until then have fun tapping your brains out on the quirky cube.
