Belt out your Favorite Tunes with Sing! Karaoke from Smule

by On December 28, 2012

We’ve covered Android apps that let you Rap or tap to the beat, and now we’re going to switch it up a bit with Sing! Karaoke from Smule. Sing! Karaoke lets you sing a vast array of songs from about any genre you can think of including Pop, Country, Musicals, and Hip-Hop just to name a few. Once you pick your perfect tune you can belt it out and send it off to your family and friends or share it online to see how others feel about it. A lot of Android apps of this nature work with dated material, but not Sing! Karaoke as you’ll get songs from Carly Rae Jespen, Psy, Nicki Minaj, The Wanted, Kelly Clarkson, One Republic, Owl City, and the Beebs. If it’s popular there’s a good chance they’ll have it and more songs should be added regularly as Smule’s good great about that with their other musical titles. Songs aside, Sing! Karaoke comes with a lot of other cool features like pitch lines, backing vocals, and lyrics. You’ll also get voice filters including their voice enhancement technology. If you think you’re good enough (I’m not) you can try to get on the Top Performances list going up against singers from around the world. As with anything these days you can share your profile or performances with anyone you choose via the usual channels like Facebook, Google Plus, Gmail, etc…etc… While I haven’t had a chance to play Sing! Karaoke it should be a very popular app if it lives up to Smule’s previous titles. There’s also a good reason I can’t play it as it’s currently only available for the Nexus 7 and the Nexus 10. It shouldn’t be long before it’s available for everyone, and if you’re a lucky Nexus owner you can head on over to Google Play and pick it up now for free.
