File sharers can rejoice today as BitTorrent Inc have finally released the uTorrent Beta Android app. Unless you’re a newborn baby or a caveman you’ve probably heard of uTorrent or even used it on your PC in the past. Well, now you can use the official Android App to find and download torrents directly to your Android device. Can you say awesome? There’s actually not much to say about his one other than the fact that it lets you download torrents to your smartphone. Most people have probably already stopped reading this article, and are downloading things with the uTorrent app as I type this article up. Basically all you need is a magnet link to click and a WiFi or 3G/4G connection and you’re in business. Speaking of connections, I would highly advise you make sure that you’re on WiFi otherwise you’re going to blow through your data package in about 5 minutes. The uTorrent app is a game changer as far as I’m concerned as it’s the first type of app I’ve seen of this nature that actually works… and works well. There are no speed or size limits either; just make sure that WiFi is on or you’re going to have a massive bill. I could actually see that being a major issue people new to the torrent world or people not familiar with the concept of data caps. Either way, torrents on your mobile phone is finally here, and you can bet your ass this is going to be a very, very popular app. The app is still in Beta so you can expect a few bugs, but if you want to give it a run (you know you’re going to) you can head on over to Google Play and pick up the official µTorrent Beta Android App for free.
