I have a love/hate relationship with EA…especially when it comes to their Android releases. Theme Park is the newest Android game from Electronic Arts, and while other games they’ve released have fallen flat this one’s about as good as it gets if you’re into building games. Theme Park is a building game that puts you to work building a gigantic Theme Park with the goal of becoming a Theme Park Tycoon. The game is packed with cool stuff to build including rides like the Dragon’s Roost Switchback and Voodoo Voyage just to name a few. If you’ve ever been to a Theme Park you already know about the countless gift shops and your park will be no different as you’ll have to add simple food stands, games like Downtown Derby, and mega restaurants like the Fly Away Café. After a quick count there looks to be over 50 different rides & shops to build which is certainly nothing to sneeze at. As you progress through the game you’ll unlock new “themed” areas of your Theme Park and by the looks of thing you can build a massive park if you have enough dough. EA’s Theme Park is reminiscent of the classic Theme Park World put out in the late 90s by EA. I grew up wearing that one out, and have been pretty impressed with the new version so far. Having to go through the wait times to build (or pay to speed things up) sucks, but that’s how things are nowadays with the IAP setup. That being said Theme Park is a very good building game with slick graphics and tons of stuff to build. If you’re ready to give it a go you can pick up EA’s Theme Park for free on Google Play.
