You stumble across all sorts of weird games when you’re browsing the Play Store, but just because something is strange doesn’t make it fun. Unless it’s a game from the guys at Butterscotch Shenanigans that is. They first caught our attention with the madness known as Towelfight 2, and now they’re back with a little game called Quadropus Rampage. Quadropus Rampage lets you see what it’s like to be a four-legged Cephalopod that’s out for blood as you take to the sea and try to defeat the maniacal Pete, the evil sea god. You’ll take on Pete’s minions with a wide variety of fun weaponry including the Party Starting Lava Sword of Massaging and the Homeopathic Anchor of Mystery. Let’s not leave out my personal favorite… the Buoyant Goat of Corporate Welfare. Yup, you get to swing a buoyant goat around and it’s pretty damned awesome. In addition to whacking your enemies with tennis rackets and fish bones, you’ll get access to plenty of upgrades and unlockables as you make your way down to the bottom of the sea. You’ll need all the help you can get on your quest to defeat Pete as Quadropus Rampage is a brutal little game. You basically fight until you can fight until you drop where you’re then given the chance to resurrect for a price. That’s where the game’s IAP setup comes into play, but fear not as it’s perfectly balanced and the prices are great if you want to buy some Doubloons. Towelfight 2 is one of those games you just have to play for yourself, and the same can be said for Quadropus Rampage. It’s one of the quirkiest games I’ve ever played, and the world is a better place for it. It’s weird, it’s wild, and it’s a total blast. We’ll have a full review of this one as soon as I can beat mean old Pete, until then I highly advise you to check it out for yourself. You can pick up Quadropus Rampage for free on Google Play.
