Every once in a while a game comes along that makes you say ‘Wow’ and that’s the case with Crescent Moon Games Paper Monsters for Android. This gorgeous platformer has been out for a while on iOS, and now we’re finally getting to see what all the fuss is about. Was it worth the wait? Absolutely… Paper Monsters is a Mario-esque platform game that puts you into hero mode as you’ll play a paper man whose on a journey to rid his homeland of mean lil’ paper monsters. Moving through this magical land is made easy with Paper Monsters controls as you’ve only got a virtual d-pad to deal with while touching the other side of the screen lets you jump and double jump. By the numbers Paper Monsters offers up 28 levels set across 6 different worlds along with dash mode and several secret areas to explore. The levels range from lush grass lands to the desert and as with any good platformer checkpoints are included so you don’t have to redo the levels. I actually didn’t mind redoing the levels when I died as the game’s a blast, but it’s a nice feature to have on hand if you need it. Paper Monsters isn’t going to amaze you with its unique control system or 200 levels… because it doesn’t have either of those, it’s a very simple game. It will however suck you in and not let go as it’s a great platform game that’s simple to play and loads of fun. If you enjoy platformers with slick graphics Paper Monsters is a game you won’t want to miss and you can pick it up for $0.99 on Google Play.
