It’s been a good week for nostalgia as we got a very unexpected Garfield game and now we’ve got The Naked Gun: I.C.U.P. for Android. Are you ready to take on the streets as Frank Drebin Jr. or a better question would be are the streets ready for you? The Naked Gun: I.C.U.P. is an old school adventure game set in the world of The Naked Gun, and in case you we’re wondering the cleverly abbreviated I.C.U.P stands for International Crime Unit Police. You’ll play Lt. Frank Drebin Jr. the dimwitted but loveable detective that just happens to be the offspring off another dimwitted detective expertly played by Leslie Nielson in the movies. The game is fully voice acted, has dozens of cases to solve, and hundreds of collectible objects. It was also written by Bob LoCash who wrote BASKETball and The Naked Gun 33 ½ among other movies. Needless to say, this should be a good one and if loved the movies you’ll want to get the game.

I first noticed The Naked Gun: I.C.U.P. several months back when it was getting funding, and I’m glad to see everything came together and the game’s ready to go. I haven’t had time to play it yet, but plan on picking it up this evening after I recover from the Game of Thrones season finale. Check back with us later in the week for more on the game as we will definitely have a full review up by weeks end. If you’re ready to step into the shoes of Frank Drebin Jr. now you can pick up DNA Interactive’s The Naked Gun: I.C.U.P. on Google Play for $4.85.
