Evernote Android App Gets a Huge Update

Evernote Android app has just been updated to version 3.0 bringing in several new features that enhance the functionality of the Android app by leaps and bounds. The update includes new features for note sharing, notes organization, improved text editing, added security options, new views, improved widgets and many other new features. To highlight just some of the major features of Evernote Android version 3.0, let’s begin with the app’s notebook sharing feature. Now, when someone shares a notebook with you, you can now have the option to link it to your account and browse through any of those shared notebooks anytime. The app also lets you edit notebook contents if the person sharing their notebooks content is on premium subscription. Premium subscribers also get to take shared notebooks offline. The Android app also now lets you quickly and easily post any single note to Facebook or share the note with other online services including Twitter or  Gmail. Also, when currently viewing a notebook, you can now search within any notebook allowing you to browse through a shorter list. Other new features of Evernote Android app 3.0 include:

  • create a notebook whenever you like
  • better support for notebook stacks
  • see all of your notes with geo-tags on a map
  • add locations to notes
  • visually enhanced widgets
  • better interface
  • tag hierarchies
