Not too much is known about Sprint’s version of the Samsung Galaxy S II other than the generalized specs in the global version of the Galaxy S II. However, according to a recent FCC filing from Samsung, it looks like the Galaxy S II could be right around the corner for the Now network. What’s more is the fact that it gained approval for WiMAX bands, providing strong evidence that it will launch as a 4G device.
Even though the Verizon Wireless Galaxy S II with 4G LTE was tipped to launch first in the United States, there is a good chance that Sprint’s version will launch first, especially since it already visited the FCC. Only time will tell which carrier gets the privilege to launch the highly anticipated Android smartphone first.
