Final Fantasy Dimensions comes to Android this week

by On

Square Enix have confirmed that their upcoming Final Fantasy game ‘Final Fantasy Dimensions’ is going to be released onto Android smartphones and tablets later this week on August 31st. As well as now having a release date for Square Enix’s latest Final Fantasy game, the company behind the Final Fantasy series have unveiled the pricing for the upcoming game and it will come as quite a shock to many. Most Android apps and Android games are priced at around 99 cents, while some games are priced slightly higher but, generally the pricing remains under $10. Square Enix have completely thrown this pricing structure out of the window but, at least they’re staying away from the freemium pricing model used by game publishers Gameloft and EA among others. Final Fantasy Dimensions will be released as episodic content. To get a taste of what the game is like Square Enix will be releasing the prologue game for free. The first chapter however will then cost $2.99/£1.99/€2.39. Episodes 2-4 will cost considerably more at $9.99/£6.99/€7.99 each. In total the whole series will set you back $32.96/£22.96/€26.36 if bought individually. Fortunately, Square Enix have also announced that you will be able to buy the entire collection of episodes at a slightly lower price, saving you a little bit of money. They have priced the whole episodic collection at $29.99/£19.99/€22.99. Final Fantasy Dimensions brings us a whole new story but, plays like the original old school Final Fantasy games.
