Firefox 4 Beta Android App Arrives on the Android Market

Mozilla has just released the first beta version of its Firefox browser made specifically for Android phones. According the the Mozilla blog, the new Firefox 4 Beta 1 was built on the same technology platform as Firefox for desktop. This mobile version was also optimized for browsing on Android phones and has many of the features of Firefox desktop including Firefox Sync, Add-ons and the Awesme bar. Whereas previously, the  browser interface run in a separate process from the one rendering it, this latest version brings the Layers pieces to improve overall performance and graphics especially when scrolling, zooming and animations. This latest release also delivers rich set of features such as pinch-to-zoom which is currently supported by multitouch-capable Android devices. It also supports the Awesome Screen that provides access to your recent history, bookmarks, and tabs through a simple tapping of the Awesome Bar. Firefox 4 Beta 1 also features Firefox Sync, allowing you to seamlessly sync your browsing activities between your Android phone and your computer.  Your browsing history, tabs, passwords, form-fill data and bookmarks can be carried from your desktop to your phone or vice-versa.
