If you’re looking for a great RTS game, there’s a new one called First Wood War that you’ll want to check out. It’s an epic game involving little wooden soldiers, but not the type of wooden soldiers you’re probably thinking of… First Wood War is all about the trees. You control an army of wooden warriors with the goal of capturing your opponents castle before they can capture yours. It’s nothing we haven’t seen before, and what makes the game unique is the setting, storyline, and the quirky little wooden troopers of course. Certain structures can be captured by you or your opponent, and there are some monstrous NPC’s to deal with as well. The “path” feature is pretty cool as well and you’ll have to be careful when that comes into play as you’ll have more than one path to attack and defend. Did we mention there are wooden ninja troopers and giant mini-bosses? First Wood War was released in the Russian app store a few weeks back, and I’m glad we got an English version as I was pretty close to downloading the Russian version just to give it a go. It’s a great looking game, and it has plenty of depth to go along with a massive tech-tree full of cool units. Needless to say, we’ll have a full review of this one in the coming weeks (will take a while to beat) and we highly advise you to check it out if you dig real-time strategy games. You can pick up United Apps Limited’s First Wood War for free on Google Play.
