Fortnite for Android to Launch on July 24
If you’re an Android aficionado, boy, do I have good news for you, as we just got word about Fortnite for Android getting launched on July 24. According to the game’s developer, Tencent Games respectively (Via Twitter), 24 July may be the day when Fortnite for Android will take the world by storm. This is only a rumor for now, so take it with a big grain of Himalayan salt:

Tencent Games is the same developer in charge of PUBG Mobile, so it may sound strange that they’d be behind Fortnite for Android too. However, Tencent Games is a shareholder in both Epic Games and PUBG corp., hence it would make sense for Tencent Holdings to promote the 2 studios main battle royale games, don’t you think? Just to refresh your memory, Epic has said back in March that a number of tweaks for its mobile version of Fortnite would be available soon on the Play Store. They used the expression ” in a few months” . Then, there was a new release window given on Wednesday (today, that is), that suggests Fortnite for Android will become available on July 24. The worst case scenario would be early September.
The company is looking to improve the gaming experience on Android for its mobile version of Fortnite. That means Fortnite for Android will be capable to compete with the company’s massively popular PUBG Mobile. The upgrades included in the mobile version of Fortnite for Android include native voice chat, a customizable HUD, stat tracking and performance/game play optimizations. As per Epic’s own words:
“We know many of you are excited for this release, and we promise that when we have more information to share, you’ll hear it from us first.”
I don’t know, are you excited yet? I know I am, because Fortnite is the best of the genre. PUBG and Rules of Survival are good too, but nowhere as polished and have the same following as Fortnite does. Stay tuned.
